Surely the most anticipated soundtrack album of the year is likely to be Daft Punk’s work for Disney’s ‘Tron Legacy’. This is bound to be something that the influential Parisians themselves are going to be stoked about as one of the key influences on any electronic musician, Walter/Wendy Carlos (Clockwork Orange, The Shining) , composed the score for the original 1982 film.
Since the rumours were found to be true last year several fake versions of Daft Punk songs have appeared sporadically over the internet but you can hear some of the original music in the latest trailer below. The film is released in December and looks pretty cool to us.

Now this wasn’t easy. From a list of 37 possible candidates we have narrowed it down to a final 20 for our personal best albums of 2009. Unfortunately there wasn’t quite room for such great albums as The Decemberists, Phoenix, Major Lazer etc so please understand if you think we’ve made a glaring error but we’d still like to hear your favourites of 2009.
