    The Chapters

CHAPTERS RELEASE THIRD SINGLE FROM ACCLAIMED ALBUM

    GIG DETAILS:

VENUE:  The Backroom, Lantern Bar, Navan

    DATE:  Friday 4th December

    ADM:  €8    DOORS: 9:30pm

SUPPORT:  Trigger & The Hitmen Plus Doctor Leaves

The Dublin five-piece band The Chapters are to release ‘Moving’, the third single from their sparkling debut album Perfect Stranger, amid a crescendo of critical acclaim for both their dynamic live concerts and exhilarating recordings.

The release of ‘Moving’ will be followed by an increased intensity on the promo and gigging front, including a major concert at The Academy on November 20. It follows a busy Summer which saw The Chapters turn in a storming series of performances, including explosive shows at Oxegen, the Music Show at the RDS, Arthur’s Day Guinness 250, and a match-winning half-time performance during the Magners League Rugby game between Leinster and Munster before a 20,000 capacity crowd!
‘Moving’ is the follow-up to their single ‘Trying To Get Ahead’, also taken from the album Perfect Stranger, and is likely to generate further kudos for a band now generating the most positive vibes throughout the music industry and the media.
The Chapters first made their mark in 2008, gigging to large crowds nationwide while supporting Neil Young, Cathy Davey, Chuck Berry and The Coronas, among other top names. But their new-found success comes in the wake of many trials and tribulations, including their first album being written off after the record label closed. But The Chapters’ strength of character and commitment to their music prevailed, and within weeks they had signed another deal, this time with 3u Records, home to The Coronas. They started afresh, and with a renewed determination laid down their debut album with up-and-coming Irish producer Ciaran Bradshaw. Now, at last, they are enjoying the rewards of that commitment.
The band’s sound marries a range of influences, from Rumours-era Fleetwood Mac, Talking Heads, The Cars and The Band, with their own timeless style to create music that transcends musical fashion.
The Chapters are: Ross McNally, Simon Eustace, Turlough Gunawardhana, Michael Murphy and Ciaran Fortune.
